Miksu (1301), Jyväskylä, Finland Oct 2, 2008 0.5 l bottle. Hazy dark reddish brown color with tan head. Berryish aroma with raspberry, raisins, cola and hints of solvent. Sweet flavor with berries, licorice, cola, chocolate and bread. Sharp carbonation. Surprisingly cola like and not very drinkable. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Jun 12, 2008 Bottle @ Maria tasting. Red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, sweet, licorice. Flavour is sweet, licorice, coffee, roasted. A little bit too sweet. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway May 26, 2008 Bottle, from trade with papsoe. A clear, ruby to dark brown beer with a beige head. Roasted to burnt, coffeeish aroma, yet quite sweetish, and with some notes of alcohol. Sweet and sticky in the mouth with roasted, or maybe burnt, malt, leading to a lasting roasted finish. Medium to full body, warming and sticky in the mouth. I wasn’t expecting much from this one, considering the other Bjert beers, but it was a decent one, even though it was a bit boring. Don’t think it’s suited for cellaring. (080412) yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 14, 2007 50 cL botte. Pours hazy dark brown and with a diminishing mild chocolate brown head. Mild spice to herbal aroma. Flavour holds a whiskey like note. Mild chocolate and mild caramel smoothness in the flavour. Light acidity. Finish however is slight thin, nice brew though.
