On tap at the Chandler AZ BJ’s (where the server claimed this was an IPA) pouring up clear copper with an off white head of foam. The modest aroma offers up a mix of spicy hops, floral hops, a touch of lime like citrus and then malts to biscuit malts. The taste is pretty subtle per the style but the hops I’m getting are leaning firmly in the bitter hop direction. The hops are just like in the nose where I’m getting earthy spicy hops, some floral hops and a touch of citrus. Behind the hops are sweet malts and some biscuit malts. Decent subtle IPA, if you’re in the mood for subtle.

Poured a clear gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness, floral notes and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of bread, floral notes and light citrus with a smooth lingering floral finish.

On draft at BJs Park West. Not much in the nose- kind of disappointing. Good flavors of fruity hops & some malt sweetness. Clean finish. Nice!

Dark copper pour. Good aroma with citrus hops and a little floral character. Wonderful citrus hops and a good taste overall. Better than the Hopstorm.

BOLTZ7555 (2378) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 18, 2012
On tap @ BJ’s Desert Ridge. Dark copper/tangerine pour with a whispy white head that left only a spot or two inside the glass. Tropical aroma with papaya, orange peel, mango and guava all representing in the nose. Really bright. Same citrus and exotic flavors. Not a lot of bite...zero evergreen...all candied fruit. Kind of has a Del Monte fruit cocktail quality about it including the simple syrup it’s bathed in. Medium mouthfeel.

On tap at Papago. Pours clear dark gold with a small tan head. The nose is caramel and ripe citrus. The taste is malt, ripe citrus and some bitter grapefruit rind in the finish. Medium bodied. Not a bad APA at all.

Medium gold appearance with a rather clean, citrusy hoppy nose. Palate offers a big ruby red grapefruit character with citrus sweetness and the grapefruit bitterness coming through. Malt profile has a nice candied quality, and there’s an herbal presence as well. Quite bitter on the finish. Very drinkable.
