1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Draft at Maui’s BJ’s. (Just the restarant, not a brewery) Pale, weak, and fizzy. No inviting head, served in a little kids glass mug. Good thing though, less to leave behind. Great sunset, but the beer..severly lacking across the board. Curious as to the rest of the selection.

@ BJ’s Brewhouse. Hazy pale amber with a 1/2" head and stripes of lace. Wheat with lemon grass and light citrus. Not much change through the palate; light bittering to finish. No big deal, but quite easy to drink.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
5-6 oz mini pils flute draft at the BJs Brewhouse in Coral Springs, Florida. The pour is a mostly clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is soft herbal grain. The taste is the grain, along with a bit of diacetyl. There is some herbal floral flavor around as well. The palate is light to medium bodied with pretty low carbonation and a dirtyish aftertaste.

On tap at BJs. Really a poor excuse for a beer. Comparable to most macro brews in the U.S. Not much there.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
16oz on tap at the Cincinnati location. Mostly clear golden yellow color. Thin white head. Couple loose dots of lace. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Light cheap roughness to the texture, though. Light bready malt, light hop, moderate metallic. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Some macro bite. OK kolsch. Has nothing on the German classics, and there’s a lot of better American examples. A little cheap-tasting.
