2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Brew4Dug (137) - Houston, USA - MAR 25, 2005
Above average for the style, but the German Kolsch is not at the top of my style preference list. A fine compliment to the deep-dish pizza that accompanied my sampling of the various BJ’s brewhouse sampler tray.

Draught. Poured yellow with a thin white head. Moderate lacing. Slight but pleasant malt aroma, with a bit of hay. Nice crisp finish.

I get no smell off this beer. I find little substance to this one, having a light color and taste to it. Smooth, though.

Had on tap at bjs. Not much smell or taste. Kind of boring. Not great. Skip this one.

Pours a bright yellow color with aroma of light hps. Taste is very light with hardly any flavor. Overall a tasteless beer that goes down very easy. On a good note, very drinkable.

Sampler at Arlington, TX location. Comes clear light gold with a small white head. Aroma of grain, malt, and florals. Taste is light malt, grain, and a bit of hops. Boring.

draft... this is as bad as the lighthouse, almost should get a lower score for trying to attempt to be a pale ale

As a big fan of the German Kolsch style, I was slightly disappointed with this attempt. Still good , not great.

(draft at BJ’s Colorado Springs, 11/7/10). Clear gold color. Medium white head. Light sweet malt aroma, with light citrus. Same flavor, with light bread/biscuit character. Avg duration. Smooth light dry finish. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Good lacing.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 EithCubes (3339) - GERMANY - AUG 17, 2011
Draught in Greenwood. Clear yellow with a lacing white head. Nose has an off-fruity thing going on. Light but not thin body has bubblegum overtones but not in the traditional phenolic sense. They’re calling this a Kölsch but it’s better labeled an American Blonde, has some nice pairing potential.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Blairgus (1189) - California, USA - JUL 29, 2011
28 July 2011, tap. Pale yellow, clear, steady bubbles. Not much on the nose. Thin body and fizzy. Nice balance in this. Light lemony hops at the front w/ enough straw malt to balance it.
