Draft at Oxnard, CA Waiter called it the Golden Monk? and said it was a Belgian, their special brew. Nose was of citrusy malts, dark golden with a glass-lacing white head, Flavor showed the citrus malts heavily.

Draught. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), with notes of clove, banana, and alcohol. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Too sweet to finish a pint.
