Brewed with imported Belgian malts and a blend of exotic spices, BJís Grand Cru has a malty character with a whirlwind of fruit and spice flavors. First brewed to celebrate the new milennium, BJís Grand Cru has been a seasonal tradition ever since. This Belgian-style amber ale is bottle-coinditioned and flavorful enough to age in the bottle for many years. Like a fine wine, the beer will change over time as some flavors mellow while others become more pronounced. For optimal aging, we recommend that you store BJís Grand Cru for at least one year at between 55 and 65įF. Or enjoy it now!

Golden orange pour with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and sweet fruit. Taste of caramel, malt, yeast and cotton candy. Nice carbonation and just the right hoppy bitter finish to offset the sweetness. Very enjoyable.

On tap at the Plano, Texas location. Served in a nice BJís Grand Cru stemmed glass. The beer pours a hazy gold color with a large white head. The aroma has a lot of biscuit malt, as well as some Belgian yeast and orange citrus notes. The flavor is more of the same. The malt notes are accented nicely with the orange citrus, yeast and candy sugar notes. The alcohol is present but the beer is still easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Draft @ BJs. Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a small white head. The aroma has some sweetness, mild fruit notes and yeast. The flavor has much of the same. Nothing off with this, just not very exciting either.

On tap noted as 10%, thick golden yellow color with no head, aroma has some Belgian yeast and plastic, flavor is pretty decent tropical fruit, a grainy body and something of a finish

Golden color. Goody smell. Small white head. Very weak lace as it draws down. Taste is yeasty and a bit like cardboard. A little sweet and a rough bite on the finish. Burns on the way down. Very flavorfull... just too harsh.

On tap. Light golden with some white head. Aromas of barnyard and some citrus - flavor is dry with more citrus and a bit of spice (pepper?). Hands down the best beer BJs brews but thatís really not saying much.

On tap in Addison, TX. Pours a clear, light golden body topped with a lasting, tight, fine white head. Aroma is lightly spicy, bananas, oranges and a hint of sweetness. Flavor is lite to medium candi sweet, earthy, spicy and a trailing light bitter finish. Fine, active carbonation. A good higher ABV offering.

This was really a pretty decent beer. Nice carbonation, sweet but not overly so, a pretty drinkable beer.

on tap BJís of Tucson, listed at 10%(11Jan11) pours light yellow with a thin white head. Aroma gives lots of strong spicy Belgian yeast notes with some candied sugar. Flavor is very sweet, so much that the alcohol is entirely masked but other than artificial sweetener and Belgian yeast I donít get much else. Could only finish half of it.
