Draught at San Jose. Hazy gold with a fine white head that leaves some lace. Very estery aroma with lots of banana and almost veering on overripe-rotting. Sweet and very estery with some sharp spice and light alcohol. Medium bodied with lower carbonation. I’m not really a fan of the fermentation here. The esters are way overdone, like a weird charicature of a Belgian beer.

Gold with a white head. Sticky fruits, wheat, yeast, and oranges. Decent thickness, bold yeast flavors upfront, oranges, clove, dried fruits, slightly spicy finish.

Tap @ BJ’s Tacoma. Cloudy gold pour with minimal head and a sparse lace. Belgian yeast nose, sweet medium body with ripe fruit and banana flavors. Tasty, but balanced heavily towards sweet, which limits drinkability.

Draft at sugar land restaurant. Golden in color with a white head. Light lacing. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, banana and wheat. Taste is really sweet and a touch hoppy and spicy, but there’s not as much depth or finish as similar others. Medium bodied, a good beer, though not overwhelmingly great for the style.

On tap at Stone, 7/5/10. Go figure. Light, sweet, and refreshing. I didn’t find the spiciness to be overpowering.

On tap at their Citrus Park, Fl location. Medium gold pour, snow white head hangs around a while. Aroma has some lemony accents to it. Flavor has some underlying candied sugar notes, some tart lemon and a buttery back end. Thickish, rich mouthfeel. Decent brewpub Belgian.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 GKillian (525) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 23, 2010
On tap in Tucson. Poured golden yellow with white head. Spice aroma is enticing, but taste is too sweet for my palate. Malt and spice overpowers hops. Nice mouthfeel. Overall, go for one of the other offerings.

Reviewed 1/22/2010 (Draft @ BJs Clear Lake, Houston, TX):
Pours an amber golden color, small white head. Clear body. Spicy dry aroma. Pale. Some fruitiness. Not super strong. Spicy creamy mouthfeel, bubbly. A little rough, slightly syrupy. Letting warm up a bit. Still a bit spicy and harshly carbonated. A little strong on the syrup. Okay.

Yet another beer shared by Tampa’s finest! Cloudy amber pour, a sorta murky cellared look. Deep dank yeasty aroma, with some modest fruity notes complementing the bready, chewy qualities. Slightly watery mouthfeel, a bit slick perhaps too. Nice melange of spices I guess, but it seemed a bit haphazard, like it didn’t really know what it was trying to achieve. Decent.

Thanks to the Tampa crew for sharing! Amberish pour with a bubbly off white head that left some lace on the glass. Estery aroma with a touch of yeasty bread dough. Spicy and sweet on the tongue with a touch of acidity. Tasted of dried fruits, molasses, and toasted bread. Medium bodied with a slight medicinal note.
