On tap at BJs. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin white head. Aroma of fresh citrus and other fruits, some spice and medicinal qualities. Flavor is sweet, malty, and a little bit tart. Plenty of bread, fresh fruit and spices. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation, very refreshing and easy to drink. A little bit of alcohol heat but not much.

Like most of BJ’s brews it falls a little short in its style but its still a pretty good attempt and worth a try

Wow! I am drinking the 2012 Grand Cru and its amazing. Paired it with blue cheese, candied pecans (lightly toasted with olive oil and brown sugar), carrots, green onion, (our version of a) house salad and a bbq chicken pizza. Everything about this beer is excellent! Try it and I know you will like it! Definitely $10.00 well spent!

Pours a bubbly yellow color with aroma of citrus fruit. Taste is light with fruit hints which dissipate quickly. A high alcohol content which is evident with every swallow of the beer.

Pint on tap at the Gainesville, Florida location. My first visit to a BJ’s and I didn’t have time to do it justice. Only had time for one beer and so I chose the holiday special which was the Grand Cru. Beautiful orange beer with fluffy white head, fragrant aroma of Belgian yeast and orange. The flavor was sweet with candy sugar, Belgian yeast and orange, and a bit of spice. Deliciously drinkable in spite of the 10% abv which was well covered. Surprisingly good for a brewpub offering. I wish I had the time (and a driver) to be able to try the stout and IPA and a couple more.

On tap at Arlington location. Pours golden yellow with a fluffy head. Yeasty nose, sweet melon. Flavor is sweet enough to be tough to drink with an over-ripe banana note that makes it cloying.

On tap in Houston. One of my favorite BJ’s brews. Pours golden with some carbonation bubbles. Scrumptious fruity Belgian esters. Very drinkable with alcohol well hidden for a 10%!

Golden orange pour with a small white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and sweet fruit. Taste of caramel, malt, yeast and cotton candy. Nice carbonation and just the right hoppy bitter finish to offset the sweetness. Very enjoyable.

Mora2000 (2959) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 11, 2011
On tap at the Plano, Texas location. Served in a nice BJ’s Grand Cru stemmed glass. The beer pours a hazy gold color with a large white head. The aroma has a lot of biscuit malt, as well as some Belgian yeast and orange citrus notes. The flavor is more of the same. The malt notes are accented nicely with the orange citrus, yeast and candy sugar notes. The alcohol is present but the beer is still easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
