Sampled draught at BJ’s, Burbank, CA.
Cloudy yellow/orange. Sweet and lightly estery, medium bodied. There’s some paper and banana, but it lacks soul.
3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 maxwelldeux (315) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - APR 6, 2012
Light and cloudy in appearance, this has all the citrus notes you expect and an easy drink. Good floral notes, too.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 HoochieMama1 (32) - - MAR 25, 2012
Golden amber hue. Hazy throughout. Very thin head leaves virtually no lacing. Taste dominated by cloves, banana syrup with scent of banana leaves and roasted corn. Mouthfeel is acidic and highly carbonated. Tangy citrus on the finish.

Probably the only acceptable beer I had at this place. Possibly because everyone knows to keep their expectations low for a wheat beer. Refreshing and chuggable. Light wheat breadiness, and some typical esters.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 monk191 (101) - California, USA - JAN 22, 2012
A decent if average hefeweisen. Smells of citrus, and pours. Nice cloudy orange. Tastes nice. Nothing too special, but a good smooth drink. Bjs does darks better.

Another seasonal brew. This Hefe tasted as sweet as it smelled. Your mouth will beg you for a fresh slice of orange peel.

Tap at Columbus,OH location. Probably easier to taste bad it not been served in a refridgerated glass. Pours with a thin white head and leaves no lacing. Slightly pineapple color with some cloudiness. Slight clove aroma on the nose. Bigger banana on the tongue. Clean finisher.

Sample in big taster. Looks super cloudy and pale yellow. Smells of wheat and lager yeast. Tastes of a bit of thin wheat typical hefe feel then a large flood of bitterness leaving a long thick on the palate after taste of wheat. Overall 4 of 10.
