Tap. Opaque brown with a tiny tan head. Aroma: hazelnuts. Taste: more hazelnuts with some roasty malt and minimal bitterness. Thin mouthfeel. Almost like a melted coffee ice cream, with hazelnuts.

Cask: Nearly black with dark wood highlights. Hazelnut exudes throughout ... much too excessively. Aside from the overt hazelnut, it’s pretty good -- warming, cozy, thick, wholesome and woodsy. But then again, I like Tatonka, so that’s not surprising.

Draught, cask. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel), with a STRONG note of hazelnut. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Whoa, Mark, lay offa da hazelnut a little, eh? It overpowers to the point that it’s stomach-turning. A little goes a long way.
