had a chance to taste this beer at the BJs in burbank. pours a light copper with light carbonation. the aroma is a forest of floral hops. very inviting. very drinkable with a lingering hop residue that covers the palate. a treat for those that enjoy IPAs that dont taste like rocket fuel. cheers

tap from the Boulder brewpub - Pours lightly hazy copper with a nicely lacing head. There’s a very good grapefruit accented hop aroma. The flavor has more of those good, crisp citrus hops and a solid malt balance. It’s medium bodied and overall an enjoyable IPA, definitely the best of the sampler I had.

On tap, BJ’s Boulder & La Mesa. I have always said that BJ’s is the best brewery mega-chain out there. This IPA isn’t going to convert the average beer nerd, but this is a solid IPA that can also appeal to the masses.

On tap from BJ’s in Vacaville, CA. Poured a copper color and you could smell the hops from the glass. Very drinkable for an IPA. Not overly hopped and smooth on the palate. Pretty good brew!!

I thought this wasn’t bad. I visit BJ’s on occasion more for the food than the beer, but found this beer to be totally satisfactory. It looks, tastes and feels more-or-less like a decent IPA should. It had a persistent head which stuck around, a citrus-y and bitter favor, and an OK mouthfeel. This beer was pretty good, but also was distinct from the best-of-class IPAs I’ve scored higher. It didn’t have the robust malt structure to match the nice hoppiness it had. Its mouthfeel was a little thin. And the bitterness was a bit one-dimensional. Still, pretty good. I’d have this again. I had it at the Columbus (OH) Bj’s.

Aroma of centenial hops and grapefruit. Poured a amber yellow gold. Had nice flavors of citrus and resiny hops. Very thin in the mouth. Overall, best BJ’s beer I have had to date.

Had this at BJ’s in Las Vegas on tap. The 2nd was better than the 1st. Or so it seemed. As an IPA-freak [Oregon-brew-snob] I’m a bit hard rating them. While it was their tastiest brew I sampled, it could’ve been much better. The orangish color was nice enough, a bit fruity but not hoppy enough. I guess for the Summer, it’s a nice lighter IPA. Not that that’s what I’m in the market for. I guess after a day of heated cycling, it’ll do. Heck, at least I thought enough of the brew to take home a Growler. But in Las Vegas there’s not many other options, growler-wise. :( Just curious as to what the ABVs and IPUs are. Anyone know?

I’d likely have this beer if I went back to BJ’s. The IPA is not bitter at all, which was surprising for the style. It was very drinkable.

Crushed with Jakebra on tap at the brewpub. Nice hop nose. Flavor leaves much to desire. Much poop in the finish. Had the potential to be much better.

On tap at BJ’s Westminster poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit, orange zest and light carmel. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pine, grapefruit and light tangerine with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
