On draught at Bjs Rancho. Poured a dark hazy golden color with tiny white head. Aroma was very piney. Taste was somewhat bitter with nice malt balance. I was very surprised by this one for a BJs brew.

Hopstorm pours a medium copper clear with a quarter inch head of tiny bubbles. Nose is crisp with pine hop aroma. Taste is sharp with floral hops and pine resin. Body lively. Finishes with good bitters.

It’s really, really really wet and happy. Hops are good. Drinking this with Curt, he says ditto.

Light amber brew with thin white head that didn’t last. Did retain some lacing. Smells of citrus hops and tastes of grapefruit. Very strongly hopped. Left a dry feel on the toungue. Pretty good but for the extreme price tag on it not something I would want to go back for. On a side note, the waiter I got on this visit wasn’t very good, the food wasn’t really as good as me or my family remember it being in the past, and we was a bit let down considering the cost of it all. May have been the last BJ beer I’ll ever have.

Draft at the brewpub. Copper orange in the glass. Fresh citrus and tropical nose. Clean toasty malt flavors with an assertive piney bitter hops that trails in the aftertaste. Overall, much better than expected.

Had this one during a business lunch in Cupertino. Not too bad, but the good outdoor atmosphere enhanced the enjoyment

On tap in Carlsbad, pretty boring IPA in San Diego standards, tastes like a plain pale ale, it's not bad it's just a straight pale not even as hoppy as Dales pale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at BJs Aurora. Pours clear amber with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, and resin hops with biscuit and straw malt and pear esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with sweet malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Semi-lucent copper. I love inventing vocabulary. The head is white, thi., and lasting. The lacing is blanketous. The aroma is faint, and a little foody and malty. The palate packs a big big. Refreshing. The flavor is dominated by a bittersweet maltiness followed by a bitter, hoppy resin.
