An Irish-style red ale with the strength of an English strong ale. Full-bodied, malty and alcoholic. Not too hoppy in order to emphasize the complex malt flavor and fruity aroma. The ruby red color hints at its rich caramel maltiness.

Growler to taster. Looks solid; a transparent amberish orange with off-white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells mildly sweet and malty with notes of caramel. Tastes like it smells, but more robust, with some hops too. Average on the palate. Not bad.

A solid easy drinking red ale, not truly Irish style as it does have some good hop aroma and a nice bitterness level to it. Pretty full bodied for a style of beer that often gets overlooked by people.

Rated on 12-13-2009 at BJís in Greenwood, IN. This draft beer forms a small tan head with a long retention, transparent deep orange body, very little carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malt, and hoppy. The Taste is sweet, caramel malt and lightly hoppy. The Palate is smooth and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, an easy to drink beer, but found no WOW factor to it and it did not leave me wanting more.
