A nice "red" to chill out on.
Iíve had both, tap and bottled and theyíre pretty much the same with a lovely, rust color and a refreshing flavor.

Big full bodied malty red ale with rich hints of caramel and toast. But the booze really comes through on the finish and they just need to dial it back a bit and let the malts shine through.

On tap at the Fort Collins location. Dark orange to amber and clear in appearance with a diminishing white head. Mild aroma of fruity esters, toasted grain, caramel malt, and light toffee. Similar flavor, moderately sweet and lightly bitter with a medium plus body. OK.

Had this with a brewhouse burger at BJís. The first few sips were creamy caramel and smooth. The alcohol starting coming out about halfway down. Pleasant level of carbonation. I really enjoyed this with my meal after a week of hard work, but there was nothing extraordinary.

Draft at the Frederick, MD restaurant, clear deep reddish-copper color with off-white head. Aroma notes of caramel malt sweetness and mixed fruitiness. Taste adds toffee, berries, dried fruits and faint spices. Medium body, moderate-low carbonation, soft with sweet fruity caramel finish. Itís malty and fruity, not sure about complex.

21st May 2015: BJís Laguna Hills outlet. Part of an eight glass flight. Copper body with a full white crown on top. Malty and semi-sweet with a fruity feel to the taste. Mild caramel notes mingle with the light hop content to hide the alcohol level nicely: decent.

Little aroma, maybe malt. Clear orange, headless. Malt lightly sweet, orange hints. Medium body. Mundane red, but with a surprising hop kiss.
