3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This dark rust colored beer has a mild malty taste. It finishes very clean and is super easy to drink. If you like a good tasting beer without too much bite this is a good one for you.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear red pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, slight grain, spice notes, hints of yeast, hints of grass. Taste is a mix of spice, grass up front going into earth, grain, biscuit and caramel, finishing malty, sweet, slightly bitter.

On tap at the Hillsboro location. Pours a clear amber color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt and some fruity yeasty notes. The flavor is sweet berries, toffee, toast, pretty mellow and clean. The ABV is a stunner. That was more like 4%. Hmm. Anyway, toasty and sweet. Good.

Clear mahogany with a 2" tan head, sheets of lace. Taste is lightly toasted malt with semi-sweet toffee. A mild, but clear hop presence shows at the finish. A little heavy and plodding, but drinkable. Good, not great.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at BJís in Sacramento. The appearance is a nice deep red with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet malts, some toffee, caramel, and hops. The flavor is similar to the aroma. There is a mixture of toffee, caramel, and maybe some dried fruits. Alcohol flavor is upfront. This beer is easy on the palate for a 7.3% brew. Leaves a slightly hot malty finish. This is your middle of the road Irish beer.

This beer poured a reddish-amber color with the aroma of sweet malt, with some maple sugary taste as well. The finish is good, sweet, and does not linger. All in all pretty good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of the better beers at the restaurant. Has a typical malty sweetness found with Irish ales. Some hops floral as well. Nice amber color with small head. Average palate with carbonation felt at the back of the throat. Well blended with malt sweetness hitting first at the front of the mouth followed by a slight bitter and dry finish. However, the caramelized sweetness tends to linger. Good with food but tends to sit heavy in the stomach.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint on tap at BJs in Cincinnati. Clear red color. Half-finger thick khaki head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Fruity candy tropical aroma, light spicy malt, hint of chocolate. Bigger body, smooth kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly sticky, full texture. Moderate sweet, a bit too sweet... Very light bitter. Iíd prefer more of a bitter hop bite and less malty sweetness in this [was expecting this to be more like a Red IPA], but the tropical fruit flavor is pretty good. A nice fruity beer to enjoy in the summer, for people who like their beer to be on the bolder side, maybe.
