COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An Irish-style red ale with the strength of an English strong ale. Full-bodied, malty and alcoholic. Not too hoppy in order to emphasize the complex malt flavor and fruity aroma. The ruby red color hints at its rich caramel maltiness.

Incredibly, terribly, astoundingly boring. No aroma at all. Nothing about this beer lends itself to a favorable review.

This differed from red ales I have sampled previously in its fortunate lack of metallic tinniness in flavor and stale hop smells. However this beer differed from most all beers in is medicinal candy syrup punch present in the state. The aroma was intoxicating, but difficult to define--having a certain anesthetizing quality. After awhile, I determined it has muskiness to it--that of dusk on a hot summer night as humidity holds pollen in the air a bit longer. The blend of 5 malts (a secret) is certainly the key to unlocking this enigmatic brew.

a very good example of the irish red style. malty and nutty sweet, with just the right amount of hops to balance. not my favorite style, but this is a good one."

On tap at BJís. Aroma is malted fruit Flavor is sweet caramelized hops. Quite better than anticipated. Balance with the malts like a better than average Irish Red should be. Surprised by this brew. Pretty good.

Draft at BJís Tysons Corner. Pours reddish brown with a thin, foamy tan head and creamy lacing. Smells like sweet caramel, chocolate malt, and floral hops. Tastes like sweet caramel, chocolate, malt, and syrup with a bitter finish. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

kramer (5034) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Pours a clear ruby amber body with a small fizzy off-white head. The nose is slight sweet for the style with some lighter husky and toasty malt. The flavor is pretty poor, thin weak caramel and minimal toastiness, itís not dry at all. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carb and a slightly sticky finish. Pretty poor example for the style.

Tap. Reddish brown clear pour. Spice, malt, dried fruits and nuts. Medium body. Nuts and fruits. More flavor would be better
