Draught, BJs Boulder. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown to black. Aroma is moderately malty (roasted grain, chocolate, husks), lightly to moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Nice mouthfeel and good balance. Didn’t rock me, but it’s pretty solid.

Tap at Cincy location. Pours dark brown with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with a sweetness from the oatmeal and a hint of chocolate. The flavor is drier than the nose may suggest. Pretty average roasted malt, oatmeal, and a touch of chocolate. Medium bodied, nothing is really jumping out at me with this one.

Tap at Plano, TX location.
Pours a deep black with an off-ivory head. Nose is chocolate coffee with a touch of roasted nut. Flavor is dry chocolate powder with a coffee-barley wine finish. Average mouthfeel. Pretty good.

Dark brown with a tan head that fades quickly but leaves a nice speckled lacing behind. Big roasted malt and coffee smell with some pecans in there too. Flavor is watery malt with a slight roasty finish. Super high and unfitting carbonation - almost soda like. Very thin and has an underplayed flavor. Pepsi flavor and palate appear as it warms a little. The smell was so nice I was imagining the taste to be as bold as the smell. But overall, very drinkable and one of the better ones at BJs.
