jedimasternick (96), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jan 2, 2009 If you like oatmeal stouts then this one will not disappoint. Strong aroma of malted heavenly chocolate mixed with a light oatiness. Order it first before spoilng your palate with their others choices. Oakes (7047), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Oct 11, 2005 Near black colour. Big up front oatmeal aroma with nuts and hints of chocolate and coffee. Incredibly appetizing. Starts off roasty, then fades to a great milk chocolate character - very smooth, sweet and pure. There is a light nuttiness in the finish for variety. Creamy, full mouthfeel. Satisfying light stout with all the elements you want in a traditional oatmeal stout. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jan 5, 2006 This was incredibly rich and tasty. Definitely the best out of everything that I tried. Their is a definite nuttiness that you notice right away,a nd I love that, great malty milk chocolate flavor with some mellow roastiness that just fades right into this full rich velvety mouthfeel. Yum! Silphium (2061), Lansing, Michigan, USA Aug 9, 2004 On tap at B.J.’s Portland (yes, the Lloyd Center location), sampled 6 August 2004. Lasto’s Oatmeal Stout. Deep brown body, thin light tan head. Dry roasted malt aroma took a bit to develop as the beer was served too cold. Enjoyable, rich flavor profile not as thick as Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout but extracting the same rich roast complexity, almost bordering on woodiness. Dry chocolate complements the rich roast. Smooth, full finish. No real sweetness for a "Sweet" Stout. Creamy. Call me a fool but this is one of the best in the category. kidmartinek (807), austin, Texas, USA Mar 31, 2008 Pours dark brown, almost black. Generous tan head. Aroma of chocolate and malts. Smooth body, light creamy mouthfeel. Nice chocolate and oat flavor with just a hint of malt roasting. Clean finish.
