If you like oatmeal stouts then this one will not disappoint. Strong aroma of malted heavenly chocolate mixed with a light oatiness. Order it first before spoilng your palate with their others choices.

Near black colour. Big up front oatmeal aroma with nuts and hints of chocolate and coffee. Incredibly appetizing. Starts off roasty, then fades to a great milk chocolate character - very smooth, sweet and pure. There is a light nuttiness in the finish for variety. Creamy, full mouthfeel. Satisfying light stout with all the elements you want in a traditional oatmeal stout.

This was incredibly rich and tasty. Definitely the best out of everything that I tried. Their is a definite nuttiness that you notice right away,a nd I love that, great malty milk chocolate flavor with some mellow roastiness that just fades right into this full rich velvety mouthfeel. Yum!

On tap at B.J.ís Portland (yes, the Lloyd Center location), sampled 6 August 2004. Lastoís Oatmeal Stout. Deep brown body, thin light tan head. Dry roasted malt aroma took a bit to develop as the beer was served too cold. Enjoyable, rich flavor profile not as thick as Bellís Kalamazoo Stout but extracting the same rich roast complexity, almost bordering on woodiness. Dry chocolate complements the rich roast. Smooth, full finish. No real sweetness for a "Sweet" Stout. Creamy. Call me a fool but this is one of the best in the category.

On tap at BJs. Dark brown with creamy tan head. Good strong chocolate aroma and roastiness. Thick creamy palate. Sweet chocolate taste, roastiness, and a grainy taste to the finish.

On draught at the Columbus location. Pours black with a wispy off-white head and thin stringy lacing. Light coffee and chocolate aroma, as well as a bit of malt. Medium-bodied and smooth with a roasted malt character, and mild hops and coffee flavors underneath. The finish is creamy and smooth and leaves a chocolatey aftertaste. Pretty good, and an encouraging start to my first exposure to this brewub chain.

Sampled at the brewhouse in San Bruno. Pours nicely with a thick head in its pint glass. Aroma was full of oatmeal goodness. Flavor was very nice, but not as strong as i was hoping. Palate was very smooth and left a refreshing aftertaste.
