stoutlover72 (1313), NorCal, California, USA Apr 10, 2008 On tap at Stockton, CA location - Pretty standard offering here. Nothing really to hang your tastebuds on, it went fairly well with the pizza I had so that was a plus. The beer was a clear, light amber in color with just a twinge of orange. Very small head with no lacing. Flavors was some malt, with a touch of citrus and herbs. Easy to drink, refreshing and clean.
johntreeter (65), Greenwood, Indiana, USA May 24, 2008 Greenwood, IN draft sampler. Pours a clear copper color with a thin head and left very little lacing. Aromas of roasted malt, grapefruit, and raisin. Taste is similar, sweet with a note of alcohol. Has a nice medium body and good texture with a really good balancing bitter finish. Worth a try. golubj (945), Redwood City, California, USA May 18, 2008 Draft at Brea location. Dark amber pour with some off-white head. Aroma is some sweet caramel malt, german bready malt, sweet overall. Flavor is the same, sweet toasted malt. Decent mouthfeel, although I did get tired of drinking it after about half the glass. pint_size (999), Austin, Texas, USA May 13, 2008 5-8-08 tap
Medium orange pour with a nice thick white frothy head and sticky lacing. Smell is sweet dough with lemon undertones. Flavor is interesting - it has a clean, crisp bite to it with a lemon dishwater effect. Palate is high carbonation but fitting here. Overall, drinkable just a bit like lemon Dawn dishwater. Rogueone (291), I F&ckin’ hate those guys from, Ohio, USA May 12, 2008 Draft @ BJs: Pours orange/golden with very little head. Noticeable caramel malt. Highly carbonated, tastes of toffee and fresh apple undertones with a mild bitterness. Pretty drinkable. BMan1113VR (630), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA May 11, 2008 Pours with a small, white head covering a clearish amber/orange body aroma is lightly spicey hops with light malts. taste is pretty hoppy, I had to double check with the waitress to make sure I was not getting the APA by mistake, WAY too hoppy for the style. Nice tasting, but very off for the style.
