COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutty Brewnette is a unique American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts produces a flavor profile that is sweet with "nutty" notes like Newcastle. But a healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

In taster in huntington beach. Looks brown ruby red. Smells of caramel malts and a little funk. Tastes at first of thickness of carbonation then amber caramel malts with some vanilla and sweet notes. Overall 6 of 10

(draft at BJs in Colorado Springs, 9/22/10). Clear brown/dark amber color. Medium off white head. Light sweet malt aroma. Moderate sweet malt/brown sugar/caramel flavor, with light toast/malt. Avg duration. Smooth finish. Thin/slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Good lacing.

Draught in Greenwood. Pale mahogany with a short lacing white head. Sweet nose. Body is sweet and fruity with berries up front and a somewhat sticky, slimy malt, edging toward wort. Touch of grape and edging sickness/vomit. Light body finally contributing a touch of bitterness. Probably my least-liked of the flight.

28 July 2011, tap. Ruby brown, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is great for a brown ale. Actually more like a stout. It is a bit nutty but much more, actually dominant, is the burnt coffee bean. Med body and slightly fizzy. I really like this for a but brown. Nose is great and flavour is unique. Sugary red fruit is as big an element as ground coffee beans. Really neat!

Had this on tap at the El Paso, TX location. Served a mahogany color with a tan head that faded to decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malt and nutty with a hint of chocolate sweetness. Taste was a mixture of roasted malt and nuts with a mild chocolate sweetness and touch of bitterness and a fairly dry finish.Medium body, smooth and creamy. Has a nice balance. Another nice beer from BJ’s. this brew went well with my pizza. Worth a try.
