POD (195), USA May 1, 2007 On tap at Columbus OH Polaris restaurant. I like nut brown ales. This one didn’t disappoint too bad. Aroma was nice and fragrant with nuttiness and hops. Flavors were malt, nut and caramel. Nice sweet aftertaste lingered. I drank this with desert. It worked real well as an after dinner beer. I would order this one again.
alexanderj (1404), San Diego, California, USA Nov 28, 2008 On tap at Chino Hills. Probably the best beer I have had from this location. Poured a brown color with a light brown head. Aroma of nuts and caramel. Flavor was much of the same with a good amount of caramel flavor. palate was solid. Good example of the style. blutt59 (948), Dallas, Texas, USA Nov 18, 2008 on tap in Lewisville, dark brown color with slight beige head, malty nose with a caramel nougat flavors, good easy beer with a soft finish danielcurtis81 (260), San Diego, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 Draft at the Laguna brewpub. Pours nice dark brown with a ruby hue and a lasting tan head. Sweet malty aroma with some nuts and a decent amount of hops. Similar flavor, nice sweet nuttiness, and more hoppiness than you usually find in a brown ale. The added hops make for a very interesting take on the brown ale, and a very enjoyable brew. tomciccateri (466), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Sep 26, 2008 On tap in El Paso, labeled 5.8%. Pours a clear, deep, dark amber color with a tan head and lace. Slightly dry, rich malty flavor. Nice attempt at a "nut brown".
