COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutty Brewnette is a unique American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts produces a flavor profile that is sweet with "nutty" notes like Newcastle. But a healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

This was the second BJs brew I had tonight. They both were bland. Lack of aroma and lacking in flavor.

Nuttiness on this one really comes through. Not a lot of head, and pours a dark amber with hints of red.

Not a great brown ale. Not much smell. Pours a nice brown, but taste is a little too hoppy, and a hint of metal. Had on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Served a pilsner glass at Austin Arborwalk place- served a slightly sunfaded brown color, half finger off white head that did take it’s time to go away and laced to an extent. Aroma of some caramel, some toasted malt, some nuts- just some of everything. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt was tasty with just the right amount of caramel pizzazz, holds up well in the middle, finish tends to drop off- no lingering affects or tasting. Bummer about the end part- but it’s decent.

Had this as part of a sampler. Pretty standard brown beer with a little nuttiness in the flavor. Pretty solid choice if you’re planning to have a few, but nothing worth going out of your way for.

draft... a boring and forgettable brown but no real flaws, wouldn’t drink again but it wasn’t agony like some others

On tap in Plano, Texas. The beer pours a light brown color with an off-white head. The aroma has a lot of cocoa and a little bit of toffee mixed in. The flavor is more of the same, with some nice toffee and light cocoa notes. The beer is very dry overall. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. One of the best year-round beers from BJ’s.

Amber colored pour with medium sized white head. Aroma is malty and nutty. Taste is slightly malty with roasted malts and a bslightly bitter dry finish. Everything just doesnt come together nicely on this one.

A really good Brown Ale, tastes almost like a Stout. If you go to BJ’s and only drink one beer, this should be in your final four to choose from.
