Nutty Brewnette is a unique American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts produces a flavor profile that is sweet with "nutty" notes like Newcastle. But a healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

Draft in a flight at BJís in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Probably a lot better than the low ratings indicate, and was really pretty good, especiallypaired with the All Night Burger. The label is nicely done.

Draft in a flight at BJís-Florence. Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a lasting off-white cap for a head that also laces the glass. Itís like a toastier amber, so itís a lot like Oasis or Jeremiah. Sweet and toasty malts, caramel, sugars, and some general earthy and metallic notes. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a toasty, nutty mouthfeel. Below average example of the style.
