COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutty Brewnette is a unique American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts produces a flavor profile that is sweet with "nutty" notes like Newcastle. But a healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

This is a decent brown. Nothing acceptional. Like many BJ’s beers; it is generally safe. Medium carmel malts, little hops

Draft at BJ’s The brown ale poured a cloudy mahogany with a medium beige creamy head. The aroma had roasted malt, nuts, caramel and some hoppy notes. This was a good brown ale with some "nutty" notes that enhanced the experience. Th medium brown ale has average carbonation. The finish was long with notes of nuts.

Nice lace. Nose is sweet and nutty, with brown sugar, vanilla and cocoa. Taste is big on chocolate, secondary roasted nuts, medium full body. A crafty American take on a Northern English Brown Ale.

On tap at the local BJ’s and I’m pretty sure its brewed at the Boulder location. Brown color and a boring smell. Good head. The flavor was indeed very nutty which was cool but I still wasn’t too impressed for some reason. Overall, this is easy to drink, not bad, nothing to write home about but then its a nut brown ale so... Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 08-01-2010 04:59:58

On draft. The aroma is caramel, toasted malts, and notes of fruit. The flavor is very similar. Finishes on the sweet end with some hop character.
