COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nutty Brewnette is a unique American-style brown ale. A blend of four different dark malts produces a flavor profile that is sweet with "nutty" notes like Newcastle. But a healthy dose of hops makes this beer hoppier and more balanced than most English brown ales.

"a little thin and not as hoppy as the brewer states. not bad, but nothing exciting. iíd put it as a similar beer to Newcastle...maybe slightly better, but not worth the price."

BJís Nutty Brewnette is not the most traditional but is a nice session brown. Darker brown pour emitting a light floral nose. Taste is kind of floral and lighter than most browns with not a lot of malt forward. Nutty Brewnette is a nice session ale but not real traditional or too creative.

Draft at BJís Tysons Corner. Pours dark brown with a thin, fizzy light brown head. Smells like caramel, nutty, bready malt, light hops, herbs, some doughy yeast with light honey. Moderate sweetness with light acidity and bitterness. Medium body and low carbonation. Creamy finish.

Clear amber brown body with a thin fizzy beige head. The nose is very nutty and toasty, smells like thereís some artificial flavoring here. The flavor is pretty heavy on the nutty flavor as well, but not convinced itís a flavoring. Some husky and toasty notes on the back end. Light to medium bodied with fizzy soft carbonation. Ok, but pretty forgettable.

This poured a lighter brown with an off white head. Aroma was nuts, and toast and caramel. Flavor was the same, decent for the style really.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2014 On tap at BJís in Fort Collins Appearance: pours a creamy off white head that slowly recedes with good amount of lacing. Color is a mostly clear light brown. Aroma: toasted barley malt, toffee, some citrus and earthy herbal hops, yeasty bread. Mouthfeel: medium body and somewhat oily, average carbonation and somewhat bitter drying finish. Flavor: bready malts dominate, with some toffee and raisin. This is balanced with a notable earthy herbal and citrus rind hop bitterness. Overall: a decent and enjoyable beer, appropriate to the style.

Decent brown ale with plenty of flavor. Roasted and nutty aromas. Medium brown color with a thin head. Medium to light palate with good carbonation. Nothing overly exciting. Light toffee, roasted malt and nut notes blend well with a small hops presence. Like most of their beers, easy to drink.
