Draught at 2006 Craft Lager Festival. Pours mahagony with a small frothy and fizzy tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, brown sugar (cookie, biscuit), nutty and yeast (dough). Medium sweetness, some light bitterness, buttery malt, brown sugar with a hint of plastic. Medium bodied and creamy palate.

Deep amber-red with a thinnish head. Rich and chewy texture; moderate carbonation. Big sweetness, with notes of chocolate, caramel, toffee, nuts, Boston baked beans and Sugar Babies. Had a little sourness (cherries) and some bitterness (flowers), too. Nice flavors but the aromas seemed a little obscured. Sweetness was a little heavy for my buds.

Ernest (6342) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 3, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2005 Draught. Body is light brown. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), trace hops (resin), with notes of bubble gum and toffee. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Ok, but kinda hard to genuinely enjoy...bubble gummy with a grainy aftertaste. Ah well.
