3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at restaurant in Frederick, MD. Served in a footed pilsner glass, clear copper color with off-white head. Aroma of citrus/piney hops. Taste seemed to lean more citrus balanced with some caramel malt sweetness. Light body, moderate carbonation, bitter with dry finish. Solid pale ale, nothing special but does the job.

21st May 2015: BJís Laguna Hills outlet. Part of an eight glass flight. Light golden pour with a full white crown of foam on top. Hop front with a malty backbone, I thought the blend of flavours married together well: mild fruitiness and mini citrus feel to the taste. This was the first beer I tried of the eight and a good, basic start to my tasting session. Not too sure where the "For hopheads only!" comes from?

From site: A hoppy, American-style pale ale made with Yakima Valley’s best hops. Bittered with Chinook, while dry-hopped with the snappy flavor and bite of Cascade hops. For hopheads only!

Had at the brewpub in San Antonio. Do I detect Simcoe? Same as others, has promise. Just needs the extra oomph from a fuller grain bill.

[2/21/15] Draught at BJís Mission Valley in San Diego. Clear golden. Aroma is a bit grainy with citric hops. Sweetish flavor with a bit of malt, citric hops and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Easy-drinking.

Never have I met a beer so middle of the road. Nothing wrong with this one at all, really nothing. Nothing stand out either. I could drink a bunch of these and hardly notice I was drinking beer at all. "for hop heads only..." really? I will not complain here, because I detect nothing I donít like. Thing is, I detect almost nothing at all!

(tap) clear, bright light amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of malt, lemon; flavour like a lemonade with a long medium bitter finish, bit strange

Ok. Clear copper pour with minimal head, but strong lacing from what it does have. Around is grainy. Taste is grain and some citrus in the background.

Keg at BJs, Gainesville, VA. Pours a clear golden with a medium sized frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral, citrus, tinny hops, grainy malt. The taste is grassy, citrus hops and pale malt. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

A rare night out with the wife, and we made our first trip to BJs, with the aid of a $50 birthday gift card, it was nice to get beers and 2 big steaks and only have to pay about $23. Got a flight of 4 beers and this was by far the best. It was pretty good overall, clean, light bodied and nicely hoppy. Hereís the notes I made: Citrusy hops, clean with a fair bit of bitterness. Cracker malts. Golden color. Lingering grapefruit and orange peel at the finish,
