3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Brea location on 12/3/06: Pours an effervescent copper with a frothy, dense off-white head. Aroma has some fresh, green piny hops and toasty malty undertones. Body starts lightly malty and sweet with some toasty grainy malt and big, fresh piny hop balance toward the smooth, thinner bittersweet finish. A pretty good APA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Polaris. Pour with little head that persists. Color is pure amber and a bit thin. Nose is weak hop and taste is about the same. Probably would be better in summer but another one of theirs that is good but not great.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
5-6 oz mini pils flute draft at the BJs Brewhouse in Coral Springs, Florida. The pour is a light haze golden copper with a smallish white head. The aroma is faint but clean earth hop bitterness. The taste picks up with cereal grain malt, and the earth bitterness, though that is still pretty subdued. Decent balance. The palate is light to medium bodied with a dry finish with lingering bitterness. Clean though somewhat dull pale ale. Best of my sampler tray, for what thatís worth.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear medium amber, good 1/2" head that lasts, horizontal streaks of lace. Taste is semi-bitter caramel malt that is joined by assertive mild hops midway through the palate. The hops remain steady as the malt drops away through the finish. Overall, quite drinkable, good with food, good for sessions.
