Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA May 10, 2003 The sample is the Cask version served at “Papago” Brewery, and as I sample more Cask conditioned Ales, the more I wish were available.
The pour is a limpid amber color, the head is portly in size, frothy in texture, tan in color and as it evanesces, the lace forms a fine covering sheet upon the glass. Ah the smell of the hop flowers, dominates this magnificent nose that is also sweetly malt, fresh and clean, the quintessential “Dry Hopped” aromas all present, sweet malt start, the top moderate in feel. Finish is delicately acidic, “BOOM”, the hops slap your palate and cling till the very dry and lovely finish, just plain “Yummy”!
oneeye1399 (28), Pasadena, California, USA Dec 17, 2001 As good as any of the other beers at BJs, this could almost be considered an IPA. I thought the hopping was very well done, and the overall taste was superb. Hairofthedog (418), San Diego, California, USA Jan 6, 2005 Golden brown w/ orange highlights, thin head and thick lasting lacing. Citrusy and hoppy w/ a big orange note on the nose... Oranges and flowers in the mouth... With major effervescence, bitter, and light body... I really liked this beer. Dub85323 (9), Phoenix, Arizona, USA does not count Dec 22, 2004 Beautiful pale ale. was very surprised with this beer. wasn’t expecting this place to have such great tasting beer. I’ve gone back to BJs 3 more times since trying this for the first time. Very hoppy. If you love pale ales and you love hops. This beer is worth the trip to bj’s..get a pizzookie for dessert also! joet (1634), Fulton, California, USA Aug 22, 2001 Cascade floral nose, hoppy dryness to the taste and a very big bitter. Semi-dry. It’s IPAish for certain. Burps well!
