Never have I met a beer so middle of the road. Nothing wrong with this one at all, really nothing. Nothing stand out either. I could drink a bunch of these and hardly notice I was drinking beer at all. "for hop heads only..." really? I will not complain here, because I detect nothing I donít like. Thing is, I detect almost nothing at all!

Ok. Clear copper pour with minimal head, but strong lacing from what it does have. Around is grainy. Taste is grain and some citrus in the background.

Keg at BJs, Gainesville, VA. Pours a clear golden with a medium sized frothy white head. Good head retention. Aroma of floral, citrus, tinny hops, grainy malt. The taste is grassy, citrus hops and pale malt. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
A rare night out with the wife, and we made our first trip to BJs, with the aid of a $50 birthday gift card, it was nice to get beers and 2 big steaks and only have to pay about $23. Got a flight of 4 beers and this was by far the best. It was pretty good overall, clean, light bodied and nicely hoppy. Hereís the notes I made: Citrusy hops, clean with a fair bit of bitterness. Cracker malts. Golden color. Lingering grapefruit and orange peel at the finish,

Rated on 02-20-2013 at BJís in Jacksonville, FL. This draft beer is presented with a small ivory head that mostly diminishes, transparent golden body, very little carbonation observed, and a good amount of lacing adorns my glass. The aroma is citrus, pine hops, earthy, and malt. The flavor is moderately bitter, pine hops and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this is a hop head beer with a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Tap at the Westwood Brewhouse.
My sojourn though the zymurgical wasteland surrounding UCLA continues with a trip to BJís. Light copper pour, sparse white head. Bit of c-hop on the nose, decent flavor after the Sapporo that preceded it. Exactly what one would expect of a corporate chain "brewpub".

an average pale ale, but that said, itís a fairly pleasing beer. Hoping for more from the nose...a bit mellow...but the flavor is pretty much what you expect from a classic apa. body is ok, maybe a touch on the thin side, nice dry hoppy finish."
