COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This robust dark ale is surprisingly smooth and drinkable. Caramel, molasses and chocolate flavors fill the palate. Its sweet start is perfectly balanced by a roasted dry finish.

Pours a dark brown with a light head. Incredibly smooth with chocolate and caramel flavors and a hint of coffee. Tastes just a little bit watered down.

MadRobin (1694) - Silver Spring, USA - MAR 5, 2014
On tap 5 oz. sample at BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse in Vienna (Tyson's Corner), VA. Clear, but very dense, black-mahogany with a nice creamy khaki head and excellent lacing. Aroma of molasses, citrus, mango and chocolate. Taste of chocolate, nuts, roasted malt and tangerine. Medium/light body and low/medium carbonization. Leaner and fruitier than a typical porter, but interesting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On Tap at the Brew pub. Pours a dark opaque brown with a nice lasting tan head and abundant lacing. The nose is not very strong - malty. The taste is roasted malt and a bit of vanilla. The palate is medium-full and watery with a balance of carbonation. Not too bad.

Draft in Florence - recently stopped commenting appearance but I must say this has nice lacing. Must be a nitro porter. Creamy and metallic. Third sample from brewer and this one is light as well. Palate ruins this beer.

Draft flight 10/28/10 (Tucson-Broadway)-Pours a dark brown with an amber head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Taste of the same with some smoke coming thru. This medium bodied brew is a bit light and weak for a porter but has big smoke and bacon.

Brown amber hues. Gigantic roast nose. The taste is almost creamy. Like half and half ANd a tall cup of coffee. Very impressive. Drinkable and easy.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, dark brownish black pour with thin tan head, aroma brought notes of slight roast, caramel, toffee, touch of chocolate and cocoa, hints of coffee bean, touch of spice. Taste is a mix of toffee, chocolate, roast, hints of cocoa, coffee, finishing with some bitter spice and more roast.
