This robust dark ale is surprisingly smooth and drinkable. Caramel, molasses and chocolate flavors fill the palate. Its sweet start is perfectly balanced by a roasted dry finish.

Great beer. Reminds me a lot of Guinness Draught. Very easy to drink; smooth and creamy. Nice off-white head with great lacing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Soft palate with pleasant roasted barley character. Has a bit of those sour and astringant notes common in southeast beers.

On tap on nitro, served in a pint at the Cincinnati location. Wasnít expecting the nitro. I think thatís throwing a few raters off here. Solid thin khaki colored head. Full, but slightly thin lace. Clear dark brown color. Light chocolate malt flavor, light toastiness. Smooth typical nitro texture. Goes down easy. Light stickiness in the finish. Mild bitter sweet taste. Hint of hazelnut? Nothing really stands out about this porter, but the nitro does make it very easy to drink. Went through mine quick.

On draft at BJís, poured a dark brown color, aromas of coffee, feint chocolate, and light caramel. Flavors are the same, slightly watered down, light on the palate for a porter.

Long lasting white head over a solid black body. Aroma of dish soap. Flavor is slightly nutty, Mouthfeel is very smooth, like a Guinness, but again with that phenolic aftertaste.

Pours dark brown/black with a thick head that retains. Aroma of chocolate and coffee taste follows, this is very light for a porter, more like an Irish dry stout. Not a bad beer just not right for the style ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A decent porter which takes a hit in their lineup sitting next to their stout and other heavy beers. Some roastedness sets this beer apart.

6/16/12. On tap. Light brown pour with a nice head. Odd aroma of butterscotch and wood. Taste of caramel butterscotch and ash. Bleh.

Pours a dark opaque brown with a nice lasting tan head and abundant lacing. The nose is not very strong - malty. The taste is roasted malt and a bit of vanilla. The mouthfeel is medium-full with a balance of carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
