Draft sampler at Columbs brewpub. Very dark brown color, "smooth and drinkable", says BJ’s--no kidding; in fact, too much so. Yes, hints of "caramel, molasses and chocolate" are present--but this beer is signigicantly lacking. I’m a reasonable guy--I don’t demand that porters or stouts have an entire coffee plantation and enough alcohol to kill an army brigade crammed into every glass. But a porter needs more character than is present here.

Nov 20, 2008 Draught at the brewpub in Denver. Dark dark red/brown - gray head. Chocolate, berries, ryebread, roasted, dark bread, caramel, licorice, lactose. Thin & Boring.

Oct 22, 2008 Draught. High creamy and long lasting off-white head. Very dark red brown body. Coffee caramel nut aroma. Mild coffee caramel flavor. A bit flat and watery.

Cear brown cloured with a huge beige head.
Light roasted aroma of caramel and hay with notes of liquorice.
Light roasted flavour of hay and liquorice with acidic notes.
