Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 5, 2007 Draft sampler at Columbs brewpub. Very dark brown color, "smooth and drinkable", says BJ’s--no kidding; in fact, too much so. Yes, hints of "caramel, molasses and chocolate" are present--but this beer is signigicantly lacking. I’m a reasonable guy--I don’t demand that porters or stouts have an entire coffee plantation and enough alcohol to kill an army brigade crammed into every glass. But a porter needs more character than is present here.
