I was disappointed with this one. Dark brown body with a thin head and not really much lacing. Roasted malt flavor with some smoked caramel but it is a bit watery and thin. Goes down easy enough but leaves me wanting quite a bit more.

Jul 3, 2008 Dark brown pour with a big creamy tan head that lasts forever. Aroma of sweet chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is along those lines as well, but is very weak. A little better after letting it warm, but still not much going on. No big deal.

Jul 2, 2008 tap in chandler... pours clear and more red than medium dark brown. nitro head lasts forever and leaves random slug trail lacing. the aroma is grainy, milky, light chocolate, light sourness and light toasted nuts... light is the key word. the flavor is rather blah... grainy, woody dryness and a light smoky character on the finish. mild coffee in the aftertaste. light body. lots of soap-like foamy carbonation makes it feel like a mouth full of foam... really weak effort.

Jun 29, 2008 Draft at Orlando BJ’s. Had a very watery chicory aroma to it after pouring a light chocolate-brown color with a tan head. The flavor was the same with a slight hop bite at the end.

Jun 13, 2008 On tap at Willowbrook. Has a dark brown ruby color with a small creamy light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is caramel and chocolate with a sweet finish. A good porter from BJ’s.

~Alcohol scent, light chocolate and caramel.
~Taste of very light roasted choclate.
~Feels medium bodied and creamy.
~ This is definetly drinkable just a little light on scent and taste.
