tap at boulder location-alongside Ernest and Aubery-pours light orange with a faint white head. big citrus.tropical things going on in the aroma. piney flavors mostly with a dry finish. a good hoppy pale ale with a good body and good citric tones.

Had this on tap BJ’s Boulder from a hand-pumped cask. The beer poured a hazy dark gold with a large, frothy, off-white mostly-lasting head. The aroma is bright and juicy with lime and pomegranate aromas. Underneath the tail-wagging fruit-aroma layer is a light malty note of roasted grain, a light hoppy note of herbs, and miscellaneous notes of soap, peach and candy sugar. The flavor is more beer than fruit, though. The flavor is only lightly sweet (despite what my nose thought it would be), and heavily bitter with an average-length, heavily bitter finish. The body was medium, the texture was watery, the carbonation was flat and there was a moderate alcoholic feel.

Body is light amber.
Aroma is
lightly malty (cookie), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with a light note of peach.
Flavor is
moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is
lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation.
Served on hand pumped cask, this was predominantly a pale ale...I don't eat pomegranates enough to accurately identify their odor, but all I can say is the main aroma here is the usual PNW hops blend. There is pomegranate juice or extract in this, though, so YMMV.
