Pours black with tan head and some lacing. Aroma is fainter than it should be...chocolate and coffee. Taste is good...but just average and unimpressive for an imperial stout. A little thin with warmth on the backend.

This is a pretty good standard stout. Nice solid body, fairly creamy chocolately flaor. Moderate head

Draft @ the Falls location. Pours black with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and chocolate. Sweet milk chocolate flavor with slightly bitter roasted malts and a slightly fruity finish. Medium to full body with soft carbonation. Much better than I was expecting.

On tap at BJ’s in Elk Grove, CA. Looks great, black with a creamy tan head and outstanding lacing. One dimensional aroma of coffee and caramel, with flavors to match. Body starts somewhat watery, but fills out toward the end. Not bad, but not great.

this used to be my favorite bjs beer but in the past few years, has thinned out and lost a lot of its girth and character.

Better stouts out there, but will do. Brown to black pour with lighter brown head. Stronger on the coffee flavors. Bitter rough finish.

Dark pour, tan head. Chocolate malt in the nose, faint hops. sweet on the tongue. Alcohol, and roasted chocolate malt, almost like pumpernickel across the middle. Slightly dry finish, not sure if that is hops or alcohol working there.

Draft at BJ’s (Citrus Park, FL). Pours a dark mohagany brown with a tan head. Excellent foamy sheet of lacing. Aroma is somewhat mild with subtle hints of tobacco, molasses and roasted coffee. Flavor is heavy on the molasses with the roasted notes coming through in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a well hidden ABV.

Surprisingly good stout, mixed with a little IPA but good nonetheless....BJs for life

This isn’t as thick as it should be. A lot of coffee, chocolate, and raisins in the taste but it’s too watered down. It’s not offensive and is a pretty good beer but it just doesnt wow the palate.
