Combined with its full-bodied richness, this symphony of flavors is what makes Imperial Stout the ultimate sipping beer. BJís brewers donít hold back in their interpretation of this classic style.

Very dark with a nitro tan head. Creamy and full, char and roasted malt, a good bit of cocoa, and some coffee. Fairly heavy body, one to drink slowly.

Draft in a flight at BJís in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Probably a lot better than the low ratings indicate, and was really pretty good, especiallypaired with the All Night Burger.

phaleslu (9376) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 8, 2016
Draft in a flight at BJís-Florence. Nitro. Pours a cloudy brown color with a cascading beige head. Light in color for the style. A soft, frothy cap of head lasts. Notes of nuts, chocolate, soap, chocolate milk powder, and residual sugars. Medium-bodied, with medium soft carbonation and a gritty, sweet, mildly bitter mouthfeel. Tastes like a first attempt at an imperial stout with a homebrew extract kit. Odd.

TEJA (2420) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 11, 2016
Draught at the restaurant in Sunvalley shopping mall. Long lasting grey brown head. Very dark color. Dry malty aroma with chocolate and boiled vegetables. Sweet chocolate taste but lacks caramell taste. Small body for a 8.5 % important stout. Small to medium bitterness.

Dark brown. No real nose! Creamy, slightly bitter, cardboard. Not a lot of flavor for an imperial stout. Creamy.

Sampled on draft at the Pittsburgh location this beer poured a black color with a large creamy beige head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, vanilla, malted milk, coffee and cocoa. The flavor was vanilla, coffee, cocoa, toasty malts, malted milk and a mild bitterness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Quite nice.

Draught at BJís Dublin Ohio, US. Very dark brown almost black with a tanned head. Nice aroma of coffee, roasted malt and some sweet hints of something which I cannot define. In the flavour it became obvious that the sweetness I discovered in the nose is sweet dried fruits and I suspect it also to come from the yeast. It is a stout but has relations with a barley wine with a bitter twist. Special beer Indeed

4-5 oz pour on draft at BJís (Gainesville, VA location) with a Mustang Sally yelling DCLawyer. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of caramel, coconut, light whiskey. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, cocoa. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draught. Very malty, dry, with a light roast flavour. I got on with this, though it lacked the complexity of great imperial stouts.

On tap in Daytona Beach FL. Pours essentially black and opaque with an excellent head. Ruby highlights at the edges when in bright light. The head is exceptionally creamy and durable. The aroma has an unwanted but not very unusual sour note. Partially hidden alcohol. In contrast, the flavor has negligible sourness and obvious alcohol. Its moderately bitter. Some faint coffee and chocolate. Overall: disappointing
