COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Combined with its full-bodied richness, this symphony of flavors is what makes Imperial Stout the ultimate sipping beer. BJís brewers donít hold back in their interpretation of this classic style.

Draft at BJís (Citrus Park, FL). Pours a dark mohagany brown with a tan head. Excellent foamy sheet of lacing. Aroma is somewhat mild with subtle hints of tobacco, molasses and roasted coffee. Flavor is heavy on the molasses with the roasted notes coming through in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a well hidden ABV.

Surprisingly good stout, mixed with a little IPA but good nonetheless....BJs for life

This isnít as thick as it should be. A lot of coffee, chocolate, and raisins in the taste but itís too watered down. Itís not offensive and is a pretty good beer but it just doesnt wow the palate.

On draft. This is not an imperial stout. Super fruity, toasted malts, translucent brown, and fruity yeast finish. More of a Belgian abbey.

Sampler@BJís Cupertino, CA, 31/08/12. Mahogany with a dense yellow-tan yellow lid going nowhere. Aroma chargrilled bell pepper, Twiglets, beef jerky and BBQ. Roasted but thin with hot alcohol, burnt wood, liquorice at a push, some burnt sugar stickiness. An anticlimactic finale to Cousin Mattís demented whistle-stop 22 beer brewpub tour of central California. Time for a Lagunitas...

This dark black beer had a very good looking cream colored head. It has coffee notes and is pretty smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Not too much in the aroma. Taste is raisin, burnt malt, and some flavor that adds too much sweetness to the beer. Smooth palate.

Dark brown with a beige head, medium-full body with medium co2.
Lots of roasted barley or even dehusked black malt, but lacking body and burnt or hop bitterness. Body and flavor are not as rich as expected.

Tap. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, caramel, chocolate and hops.
