3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at BJís in Elk Grove, CA. Looks great, black with a creamy tan head and outstanding lacing. One dimensional aroma of coffee and caramel, with flavors to match. Body starts somewhat watery, but fills out toward the end. Not bad, but not great.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap. Pours a clear dark brown with a brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a combination of roasted malts and a touch of smoke backed a good amount of sweet grains that give a hint of bitterness.

Not terrible, but nothing to write home about if you have a developed palate. Good transition dark beer for the bud lite drinkers.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at BJís in Frederick, MD; served in a tulip glass. Very dark brown color with dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste adds notes of light coffee, sugar, caramel and some fruity esters. Medium-heavy body, low carbonation, dry, semi-creamy with slight bitter roast finish. For a RIS somewhat thin and sweet, overall decent dessert beer that night.
