[At BJ’s in Boulder, Colorado] A pitch black beer with a beutiful light brown head. The aroma is lovely with notes of chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, prunes, as well hints of coffee.

<i>Sampled draught at BJ’s, Burbank, CA.</i><br /> Very dark brown. Very sweet with loads of licorice and some chocolate. Intensely salty. Raw and really unbalanced. It feels like they’ve just dumped all they had into the mash and hoped that would make a great beer.

Draught at the brewpub in Boulder. Dark brown coloured with a medium sized off white head. Light roasted aroma of caramel and chocolate. Roasted flavour of caramel and chocolate with notes of hops. Roasted finish.
