fbennett (293), Lowell, Massachusetts, USA May 3, 2007 The stout poured a syrupy black out of a nitro tap leaving a frothy blonde head and delicious chocolate body. I love having an imperial stout out of a nitro tap different mouth feel and just damn tasty. The aroma/taste is dark chocolate, caramel, earthy hops, spicy, alcohol, sweet and very complex. I paired this beer with the chocolate chunk Pizookie which is a fresh baked cookie in a mini pizza pan served with vanilla ice cream. The bitter chocolate from the beer and the sweet cookie played off each other very well making for a fantastic dessert.
Wegro (177), Fresno, California, USA Nov 20, 2008 Nitro impy stout. tastes pretty non descript with a hefty alcohol presence. full bodied but the nitro killed it for me. without it it’d probably be a fine beer. Theis (2457), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 20, 2008 Draught at the brewpub in Denver. Black - brown head. Ryebread, grainy, licorice, roasted, light smokey, creamy, smooth body, sticky sweetness. Roasted finish. danielcurtis81 (260), San Diego, California, USA Oct 18, 2008 Draft at the Laguna Brewpub. Pours black with a slight white head. Oats in the nose and on the tongue. Pretty good stout but lacking the characteristics to be an imerial stout. MaltOMeal (353), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 12, 2008 Tap at BJ’s in Sugar Land. Pours black with a big brown head.
