Draft at BJs Burbank. Beautiful black color, creamy light head (poured with beer gas, I think). Creamy flavor with molassas/coffee/caramel backbone and alcoholic finish. Very sweet and rich, with little hop bitterness.
Better if it were on CO2, though.

Nov 20, 2008 Nitro impy stout. tastes pretty non descript with a hefty alcohol presence. full bodied but the nitro killed it for me. without it it’d probably be a fine beer.

Nov 20, 2008 Draught at the brewpub in Denver. Black - brown head. Ryebread, grainy, licorice, roasted, light smokey, creamy, smooth body, sticky sweetness. OK.

Dark brown coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Light roasted aroma of caramel and chocolate.
Roasted flavour of caramel and chocolate with notes of hops.
Roasted finish.

Oct 18, 2008 Draft at the Laguna Brewpub. Pours black with a slight white head. Oats in the nose and on the tongue. Pretty good stout but lacking the characteristics to be an imerial stout.

Oct 12, 2008 Tap at BJ’s in Sugar Land. Pours black with a big brown head. Nose is of roast coffee and cocoa. taste is cocoa powder with some coffee. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit chalky. a bit too simple.
