Had on tap at the Greenwood, IN version. Good aroma, but weak flavor. Could have been better.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tap in Boulder. Cask conditioned version. Pours pure black with a great head. Aroma is vanilla with a slight Irish cream smell. Flavor is vanilla, liquor, and brandy. Velvety palate. Awesome beer.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught. Body is reddish-brown. Aroma is lightly malty (chocolate, caramel), with a very strong note of vanilla. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Woof, another overly-spiced cask creation...this oneís almost decent, but just toooooo much vanilla (an aroma I love, donít get me wrong). Seems like the porter is struggling underneath it all. Quite tart.
