COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bronze medal in the Commercial wood aged category at the 2012 Great Lakes International Cider and Perry Competition held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This cider is produced with 100% certified organic apples grown on the property as well. With a honey and apple bouquet, and a wine like texture, this cider is very smooth. Aged in French oak barrels produces an interesting flavor profile that includes some pear and peach notes. This is a light and refreshing cider, the perfect session beverage.

750ml Bottle, capped, purchased from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY: Pours to a very slightly hazy, very light yellow colored body, even lighter than "straw-colored". Mild carbonation and no head forms. Nose has a pleasant, yet complex mix of fresh, juicy, ripe apples the give a sweet scent, as well as mildly tart apple, lemon, and a bit of slightly musty, apple-soaked wood. Taste hits with a bit of the tartness right up front on the lips and front of your mouth, but almost by the time you’re aware of the bitterness you get the full juicy, crisp, sweet apple flavor filling your palate. However, it is neither too sweet nor too bitter - this cider seems to nicely ride the line between too sweet and too bitter, finishing with a bit of tart apple flavors felt on the tongue that open up to lasting crisp apple notes. For a beer I’d describe the body as "light and watery", but not knowing much about ciders it feels right - light and crisp without being cloying and syrupy. Overall this was a very approachable cider, easy to drink, and with simple, yet focused, crisp, fresh apple flavors.

Bottle at CGBD. Pours light clear yellow with no head. Semi-sweet apple, faint hints of caramel and spice, not much of an oak presence, and a medium dry finish. Pretty good.

Sampled this at Campground Brewdown 2. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Soft apple, warm apple skin. Medium bodied, sweet apple, soft and sweet. Big apple flesh notes, no oak really, but still very tasty. Apple candy.
