ekstedt (2052), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 15, 2007 Updated: Oct 17, 2007Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget, says 7.0 % abv on the label. Deep clear reddish brown with a rich fluffy beige head. Very intriguing roasted aroma with notes of liquorice, gunpowder, dried fruits, and coffee. Medium bodied and smooth, perfectly balanced with a light initial sweetness followed by a firm roasted bitterness. Infinitely better than the 9.4 % abv version. TMANAZ (8), Arizona, USA does not count Oct 8, 2007 A fine Poland Porter, a Distinct coffee aroma was the first sense I noticed with a slight licorice flavor. Not one of my favorite Porters but I would definately buy again. Priced right for Domestic (U.S.) Porter lovers. aliendan (25), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 19, 2008 Head is creamy tan that quickly disappears, and the beer is dark reddish black. Burnt aroma with corky red wine caskiness. It has a crisp brown sugar sweetness with a bitter aftertaste that’s a lot milder than the aroma suggests. Buttery flavor and texture. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 2, 2008 Bottled. Near black, dense creamy head. Cocoa aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by a variety of malt flavours - caramel, butter and cocoa. Low bitterness. Less powerful and warming than ithe full strength version, but also more drinkable and less sweet. larsniclas (3079), Gothenburg, Sweden Dec 20, 2007 Bottled. 7.0% ABV.
Dark orange/brown with a small beige head.
Sweet and buttery aroma; chocolate and some licorice and vanilla.
Roasted and malty with warming alco-feel.
Flavour from brown sugar, coffee and some toffee.
