500 ml bottle on September 8, thanks to Reza! (non ratebeer)
Clear dark reddish brown color, tan, light brown head with yellow hints in it, fairly lasting. Dried fruits, chocolate, firey alcohol scent. Sweet, raissin, malty, grainy taste with some alcohol. Smooth soft mouthfeel. Medium low bitterness.
Very nice, smooth, drinkable beer that I wouldn’t mind to have in my fav bar’s selection.
Some spices I can’t put my finger on happening in the aftertaste, also some salty licorice with hints of coffee.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Labeled Czarny Boss Porter (8.5%), Thanks Beastie. Bottle poured a thin black with plum highlights. Aroma is sweet, some roasted malts and and cooked rice with some cherry, plum and port, like red wine. Flavor had more of this sherry like port flavor with some fruit and almost woody character. Flavor didn’t have that cooked vegetable flavor. More of an old malt flavor turned into a port. More of a sipper to me and kind of grew on me as I drank it. Enjoyed it overall and the alcohol was surprisingly hidden.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Labeled Czarny Boss Porter (8.5%), poured into a Frubee flute-esque glass. Color is dark brown, difficult to see through but filter-clear if it wasn’t dark. Small head fades quickly. Aroma is corny-dark, watered-down buckwheat with metallic lagering apparent. Flavor is a bit less watered-down and metallic. Has a bit more of an ashy buckwheat character with a slight hint of sweetness at the back end. I could drink this again, for about 2 bucks for a 500mL bottle, this is good stuff. I would like this body to have a bit more heft to it, even though it leaves a mouth-filling aftertaste of grain-y ash. The nose made me think bad things but the flavor made up for it. Not bad, I wonder if this is just a watered down version of the regular (9.4%) Black Boss.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good tan head over opaque red-brown beer. Sweet molasses with fudge, caramel, treacle and even maple syrup. Totally different flavour, dry, cigarette ash, cigar leaf and a finish with some spice as black cardemom. Warming up, some sweetness at last. Ashy MF evern, dry, medium bodied but quite carbonated. The nose promised dessert disaster. The taste proves actually quite good! Txs to fonefan!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. Very deep mury reddish brown colour with mediumsized fluffy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is strong on sweet malts, some liquorice, chocolate, vanilla and also some mild burnt wet wooden notes. Flavour is sweet malts along with liquorice, some chocolate, mild toasted notes. As it warmed up also some dark dry fruity notes pop up. Pleasant.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
19/03 0.5 l bottle. It poured copper-brown to black body with bigger brown head. Aroma was nice sweetish and roasted malt, mostly coffee and licorice, raisins, a touch of alcohol. Similar flavor, although it extends a little bit further, to show some dark fruits, sugar and cocoa. Coffee and caramel are dominating while alcohol is well hidden, shows only a little bit. Fuller in body with long sweetish, again complex finish built around caramel. Very nice Baltic porter, very much like a bit stronger version of my favorite Croatian macro product, Tomislav.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from somewhere in Berlin. Poured a dark red, almost black body, off white head. Sweet nose, distinct coffee, very roasty and pleasant. Some raisins too. Very nice. Sweet, caramelly taste, carrying some ashy roastiness over. Not all that distinct. I initially thought that it was a bit too sweet but later on I changed my mind, it’s pretty much just right for the bit, maybe just a teeny tiny bit over the top. It’s a good porter, however you look at it. No alcohol percentage, a nice roastiness and caramel sweetness, balanced, not cloying at all. A very, very good beer and a really nice surprise.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, bought @ Bierkoning, Amsterdam.
Very deep chestnut. Brown but not black. Wonderful, staying, creamy, beige head with a hint of yellow. Sweet sugary aroma with roasted malts, light milky chocolate. Slight viniousness. Medium carbonation. Fine mouthfeel, but light and with fair creaminess. Flavour is elegant, very much Baltic Porter. Dark malts, light in roastiness, some chocolate, liqourice, viniousness. Nicely warming, yet never even bordering on alcohol. Good liqourice dryness in the finish. Nice beer.
