0,5 l bottle. Bought in Berlin, drank it from the bottle in a train across Germany. Upon first sip you get blasted by heavy coffee and roasted malt aromas that completely dominate the taste from then on. Only later are fruit and chocolate aromas becoming traceable. The aftertaste is, as expected, sweet and very dry. Great beer, of course, but still kinda one - dimensional, due to the prevalence of coffee aromas.

0,5l bottle BB 08/12. Pours almost pitch black with red hue body and mocha creamy lacing head. Aromas are roasted malts, licorire, plums, cacao raw beans. Palate is oily slick full-bodied. Carbonation flat soft smooth. Taste is warm ABV, some bitter dryness, roasted malts. Aftertaste is dry bitter, with oily caramel consistency. Overall heavy porter, good texture and taste. Good choice. ABV subtle but kicking.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton. It pours deep red-brown, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is roasted malt, smoke, caramel and cardboard. The taste is caramel, cardboard, toffee, roasted malt, sweet dark fruit and some alcohol warmth, with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle shared at The Kernel during Thomas’s Birthday, London. Pours clear, red-brown with a foamy, beige head. Light toasty-roasty aroma, mild dry cocoa. Big sweet flavor, some caramel, modest roast and cocoa, some dark sugar and dark bread. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, lightly roasty, more dark sugar and some chocolate. Nice stuff, very drinkable.
