Head dissipated quickly with a dark black color. Carbonation is perfect for a porter. Just enough to add to the mild smooth taste. Has a very fine sweetness in the middle. Can taste a molasses in the middle. Very little if any IBUs detected. Almost a cola taste at the finish. Not sure if this can age well but going to try!!

Pours black with a lite tan colored head that tried to stick to the sides of the glass. At first I had some faint hop aromas, but the caramel and toffee takes over. Toffee and molasses flavors, mild sweetness with some licorice. Mild sweetness with some bitterness balance. Clean finish, alcohol well hidden. Easy to drink.

Sweet taste of molasses. Easy to drink. Little alcohol burn. Very good price point for a beer of such strength. Recommended

Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet and lightly roasted malts, just a hint of soy sauce, and a quick roasty finish. Not bad.

Pours a cola color with a tan head. Aroma of toffee, anise, some light roast. Mouthfeel is very thin... this one is easy to pound. No alcohol detected, even though the label says 9.8%. Very drinkable, if a bit simple. You can definitely tell this is a Baltic porter with a lager yeast. Very good. Fuck, I love me some Baltic porters.

Black Boss Porter has a medium, beige head, a good amount of thick lacing, and a dark-brown (ruby under light) appearance. The aroma is of smoke, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is of cocoa powder, charcoal, dark cherries, dark coffee, dark-roasted malt, and sweetness. Alcohol shows up in the aftertaste to some extent. The mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Black Boss Porter finishes heavy, semi-dry, and not particularly difficult to drink. Overall, this is a mild, pleasant, and potent Polish beer. I like it. RJT

Whole Foods, Fairfax 500ml ($3): Pours a dark brown with a quickly dissipating light brown head. Aroma is a bunch of fruit and roasted malt. Beer itself is really sweet, even for a Baltic Porter. It wasn’t exactly cloying, but I can imagine that it would be for some people. There was some complexity in taste, and this was a welcome coming home present for myself after 70 Scandinavian beers.

Roasty, caramelly, aroma. Pours dark brown with an amber tint, and a thick tan head. Moderately sweet with a roasty bitterness. A little caramel taste with a slightly sharp acidic finish. Full body. Good beer

Bottle @ Bestway. Pour: Rich brown, tawny appearance. Opaque beauty with thin collar of foam. Aroma: Leathery, cocoa, almost a cigar/tobacco-like aroma. Notes of dark fruit also. Taste: A big porter! Immediate warming from the alcohol. Roasted malt forward brew with a hint of molasses and coffee flavors. Definitely a sipper. A muscular brew. Aggressive mouthfeel. Overall: A freak of a porter, IMHO. Very enjoyable but volatile and potent. After tasting, rating, and finishing this particular bottle, my wife noted that i "smelled like a campfire". Once you imbibe this baltic porter, it literally seeps out of your pores.

Strong coffee and maple syrup. Clear garnet black, medium yellow head. Flavor of strong coffee, a bit on the sweet side. Cherries are present as well. There is an unpleasant cane sugar sweetness on the back end.
