3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foxbush (761) - Richmond, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Half liter bottle from The Caboose. The porter poured a deep black with tan head. I tasted licorice and some sweetness. This porter was very smooth. The higher alcohol is well disguised. This may be my first polish beer. The medium body lager had soft carbonation. I was able to taste this on Christmas eve 2011 with #2 son.

Burnt, coffee, and molasses notes, the 9.4% alcohol leaves a bit of a tingly feeling afterwards. This beer tastes great, but as others have mentioned, it does have a very thin, watery mouthfeel that you don’t expect from a porter. Best beer I’ve had from Poland by far though.

Pours a fairly clear dark brown with no head. Very dark, but not quite black. Aroma is of sweet licorice, barley and malt. Flavor of molasses, chocolate and wheat. A bit fuzzy in the mouth, but not too bad.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 snownirvana (57) - - APR 5, 2012
Snifter from bottle. A: weak nose cold, more prominent when warmer, slight malty sweetness, a little brown sugar, carmel, toffee App: incredibly dark with a brown shadow and a very dark amber core. One finger, frothy, tan head, slowly dispersing. T: sent from heaven to Browar to my glass. Excellent malt back of brown sugar, and dark fruit. P: sharp, fine bubbles, and goes down so smooth. The alcohol is completely hidden! One of, if not, the best of Baltic Porters!

Roasted, malty, chocolate, with a licorice flavor. Very tasty and unexpected from Poland.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, red-ruby hints. Minimal off-white head. Nose is chocolatey, with some roasted malts and anise character. Bit more coffee and chocolate on the tongue, more anise in a bigger way during the finish. Pretty drinkable, especially considering the ABV.

Good chocolatey burnt flavor. There is a mild smell that supports the sweet molasses taste
