Cask at The Market Porter, London: Dark wood coloured bitter. Malty aroma, with a strong malty flavour. Touch of fruit as well. Not particularly exciting, but inoffensive.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig and Pen, Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a tight white head. The aroma is fruity and bready. The taste is mellow. There are malty notes and berry fruits. A hint of warmth also. Nice to drink.

Blackfriers. Aroma reeks of caramel, quite a bit of butter. Taste is just raw caramel malts with lots of butter anc cheap margarine.

Aroma is light malty and light to moderate hoppy, friut flowers, nectar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.

A Sim rate (Cask at the Pembury Tavern): Smells of vinegar. Some bitter, off fruit. Fermented. Tastes like sick. Or those acids in sicky burps. Even Rudiger, full of flu, wouldn’t drink it and he couldn’t even taste it!
