Cask@The White Lion, London. Rubyish brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is rubber, some sweet acidic berries as well as mild toffee and toasted notes. Flavour is quite similar with diacetyl and some sour and acidic fruityness. Probably the worst mild ale ever made. Either that or something very wrong with the cask or the lines.

The Elephant, Faversham - during the Hop Festival. Dry beer, slightly musty with no condition. Perhaps not fresh? Slight caramel. Lovely glowing caramel mahogany colour. OK, I suppose. Looking at other comments I see that it is not uncommon for this beer to taste flat and sour. Problems at the brewery?

Cask, Hinckley 08. Bit carpy and dank. Currant and coffee hints on snout. Accidentally Flemish and weird. Intriguing touch of sour. Thin, earthy, not very mild-like. Alright, but lacks depth and conditioning.

Cask handpull at Ship & Mitre BF, Liverpool. Chestnut with no head. Not a lot of condition and a bit watery in mouth. Some good red berry jamminess. Syrupy malty aroma. Might be better in better condition. Some rubbery hop on end. End of barrel?
