3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, - SEP 18, 2011
A dark brown porter with light reddish hues, and a thin big bubbled off white head. In aroma, sweet chocolate powder, Nestle Quick, coffee mocha, light soy sauce notes. In mouth, a smooth sweetish chocolate malt with light nuttiness, and oily mouth feel, a bit light, but overall, nice. Bottle is about 6 months old, from LCBO.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bunget (137) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 7, 2012
500ml bottle. Dark brown-amber body with medium mocha head, pleasant lacing. Nice sweet coffee aroma, caramel, roasted nuts, condensed milk, even so, it’s quiet refreshing.
Taste is dry first of all, roasted malt, caramel, a hint of coffee, not as oily as expected. Nice and refreshing.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mansquito (1815) - washington, Washington DC, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Somewhere is Canada: Pours a blackish colour with a quickly dissipating head that leaves lacing. Aroma is smoky, chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is somewhat similar. Nice malt profile. Finish is kind of milky and not to my liking, but other than that, this is ok stuff. Significantly better than their stout I think.

Dark beer with tan head. Very smoky in both flavor and aroma. Some coffee notes but mostly smoke. Thin mouthfeel and intense carbonation. A weird experience.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Strangebrewer (522) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2012
bottle. Poured near black with a ruby hue, creamy beige head. Aroma of coffee and raisen. Mouthfeel is quite smooth, medium carbonation. Flavour of roasted-burnt malt, notes of coffee and vanilla. Just enough bitterness.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Tessic (631) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2012
Thyis porter poured a deep, dark red colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Scents include ripe fruit, coffee, cocoa and roasted malts. First sip was smooth and slightly watery with flavours of coffee, burnt malt and a little cocoa. Finish is roasted with light hopp flavour.

Not terribly interesting. Notes of coffee, maybe some kiwi. Very light in the mouth and pretty mild bitterness.

bottle bb april/11 consumed 3/21/11.
something’s up with this one... pale porter color with a gigantic light tan head. lots of spots of clingy soapy lace left around after it finally settles.
the nose is a lot like duct tape... rubbery, medicinal along with decent notes of spice, charcoal, roast, coffee and candied nuts.
the flavor is the same... a little decent along with hospital and molasses.
high sharp carbonation is unpleasant. not completely horrific...it does have its moments. 4/2/4/2/10

[bottle]
Aroma of toast and scotch tape with some sherry-like qualities. Clear red-brown with a wispy off-white top. Weak and musty flavour that has a touch of mocha and some ethanol. Light body, low carbonation, slightly bitter finish.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 cyrenaica (799) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2011
500ml bottle
5.0% ABV
I tried this beer on October 7, 2011 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet. The beer poured a black colour with brown edges and a thin light brown head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and reminded me of breakfast. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was watered down cold coffee, some molasses, and a decent bitter finish.

[3954-20110909] 500mL bottle. Chocolatey roast wood nut malt aroma. Dark brown red-hued body with a quick creamy tam head. Nutty roasted malt flavour has a lingering roastiness. Medium-full body has a little sour note. Good to try. (7/3/6/3/11) 3.0-
