Brewed at Trafalgar. The new beer captures the essence of pumpkin pie thatís rich in aroma and spicy in flavour. The beer uses real pumpkin in the brew kettle and is infused with a blend of spices including nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon prior to fermentation. The result is golden ale heady in spices and flavor.

A orange amber ale with a thin forthy off white head. In aroma, loads of caramel, nutty notes, light spices, cinnamon and butterscotch. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with ginger and cinnamon, grassy notes, actually not bad. Bottle from LCBO.

Unexceptional pumpkin ale. Yes, pumpkin aroma with a nominal amount of spice. A little orange, no retained head.Lighter mouthfeel.A little nutmeg and pepper.

My first pumpkin ale of the season. Pale amber pour with a thick off-white head. The aroma is fairly spicy with notes of cinnamon and allspice primarily. A fairly moderate palate with a little bit of soft sweetness. Low bitterness and a little bit of lingering spiciness. Pretty typical for the style, but itís decent enough.

2012-12-30. Fairly crisp dark orange, very small frothy off-white head. Modest spicey aroma is lightly muddled but pleasant. Nutmeg? 6+ Flavour is similarly moderately spicey, muted sweet pumpkin and malt, moderate bitterness throughout, I suspect from the spices more than hops. Smooth average plus palate is lightly under carbonated but suits it otherwise. Decent, enjoyable but a bit dull. Bottle from the LCBO

Bottle, shared with TylerDurden and my wife. Burnt orange body, average off white head. Sweet spicy pumpkin pie nose, lots of nutmeg. Toffee and spices, and definite PUMPKIN character which I really enjoyed. Much better than expected.

Aroma: bold for pumpkin ale, vanilla, sugar with spicess, touch of clove and fruit. 6+
Look: fine haze on bright amber, lighter off white top.No lace. 3-
Taste etc: lighter bodied. Gingerbread with spicess. Not overly sweet , just tad light. Proper seasonal spice feel. Bitterness from cinnamon. Decent.

Bottle [500ml]. Pours a cloudy, bubbly orange-amber with a small lasting fizzy off-white head. Decent but simple aroma of pumpkin, some sweet vanilla, spices and caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour follows the aroma but itís a little subtle for the style. Light bitter finish. Average bodied. Like I said, itís decent but I like more flavour in my Pumkin beers.

500ml bottle from the LCBO. Clear bubbly copper with a smallish fizzy off-white head. Sharply spicy slightly vegetal aroma - plenty of nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste follows, a bit buttery. Light body, sharp carbonation, weirdly oily - taste fades incredibly fast. Meh.

[5037-20121230] 500mL bottle. Floral sweet candied soap aroma. Clear, orange brown body with a quick creamy light tan head. Toasted herbal corn fruit and light straw grains in the flavour with a nice sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Would not have placed the spiced pumpkin without knowing first it was there. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light pumpkin notes with light cinnamon notes. Taste is also dominated by medium pumpkin notes with some cinnamon and ginger also discernable. Malt backbone is present and provides semi-sweet caramel flavours. Body is about average with light creaminess and good carbonation. Nothing extreme in this beer Ė just good balance mix between pumpkin and light spices.
