COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Trafalgar. The new beer captures the essence of pumpkin pie that’s rich in aroma and spicy in flavour. The beer uses real pumpkin in the brew kettle and is infused with a blend of spices including nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon prior to fermentation. The result is golden ale heady in spices and flavor.

This pumpkin ale poured a deep amber colour with a soapy, white head. No lacing. To the nose there are scents of pumpkin, corriander, all spice, vanilla and very light smoke? First sip was very thin and watery, flavours of pumkin and spice not overwhelming but flavourful. Finish was almost buttery tasting with the light burnt/smokey flavour bearly tastable.

Bottle, pours a deep dark orangey brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Flavour is along the same lines, with cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, with a little toffee in there. Pretty boring, but competently done I suppose. Just not exciting.

Tasting at Matt’s
Brown color, small head. Some aroma of spices, alcohol, cookies. Dry mouthfeel, thin body, very shallow flavor, and some spices.
Not very good.

Gylden brun noe tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter gresskar, nellik og rett å slett julelukter. Middels fyldig, krydder, noe karamellsødme. Kort litt pepperig kort avslutning.

Clear, light brown color and virtually no head. Aroma of pumpkin and spices - it has to be noted that the pumpkin actually smells genuine. Taste is sweet, spicy, vegetable-like; once again the overwhelming pumpkin flavor is rather authentic and does not seem artificially obtained with chemicals. Medium body, slick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is medium long and filled with a vegetable flavor. Overall not a bad beer, certainly is more bona fide than the other pumpkin ales I had the pleasure of tasting.

Bottle to pint glass Pumpkin...I love it when a pumpkin ale actually has pumpkin in the brewing process. There’s a pumpkin aroma, nutmeg, ginger, and malt. Pours a slightly hazy deep reddish amber with a thin, but short lived, off white head. There’s some lazy carbonation around the edges. The taste is gourdy, not distinctly pumpkin, a little sour, and malty with ginger at the end. The taste does not live up the the original aroma. In fact, the sour aspect was quite surprising, although not a detraction.

Bottle. Very nice spicy aroma, sweet malty flavour with light pumpkin and spice. Nothing incredible, but a solid pumpkin beer.

Bottle, LCBO. Pours a very dark murky coppery colour. The head dissipates quickly. The aroma is pretty solid - spicy roasted pumpkin. Taste... disappointing, well at least related to the aroma, but in itself it’s not bad. A bit shallow and not enough pumpkiny, the spices seem to dominate the pumpkin. Palate a bit thin with not enough backbone to carry it through till the end - would have loved it to have more body and a longer finish. Overall not bad though!

Bouteille. Une bière brune noisette avec une mousse blanche peu durable. Un nez de muscade, cannelle, touche de pain d’épice. Une bouche mince aux épices de tarte à la citrouille. Pas détestable.

Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks. Clear amber - white head. Pumpkin, spicy, cinnamon, high spicy, caramel, sweet malty, nutmeg, ginger.....
